The water playground Schildepark in Bad Hersfeld is a child-friendly place that promotes fun and creativity. Here, children can play with sand and water, build water channels, and use a hand pump for a continuous supply. The playground is located near the Schildepark house, and toilets are available in the nearby Wortreich building. Unfortunately, the platform with the water fountains was out of order during our visit, which slightly affected the experience. Nevertheless, it is a lovely spot for a short break while traveling.
